Well-being in Nursing Education: Designing Thriving Futures The nursing and faculty workforce are exposed to work-related stressors that can negatively impact their well-being. Stressors include heavy workload, workplace conflict and aggression, burnout, noise pollution, and financial pressures. Nursing faculty, deans, directors, and clinical managers have a responsibility to promote well-being in their environments. Summit 2027 will bring together thought leaders, educators, and public policy and well-being experts to address these growing challenges posed to nursing, student, and faculty well-being.

Presentations will focus on research, simulations, and evidence-based teaching strategies to promote well-being in nurses, students, and faculty. Topics can include physical, emotional, social, spiritual, intellectual, occupational, financial, and environmental well-being; safety and wellness while at work; physical, sensory, mental health, neurodiversity, and other disabilities education; and disability accommodations and inclusion by design. Attendees will gain valuable insights into integrating well-being constructs into curricula from the licensed/vocational nurse to doctoral levels of education, research, and clinical practice. Join us to explore how 2027 NLN Summit can empower educators, inspire students, and ultimately improve patient outcomes through innovative, efficient, and effective education strategies.

Objectives:

  1. Discuss the implications of well-being education on nursing students, nursing workforce, nursing practice, and public policy.
  2. Appraise educational and research strategies for nurse, nursing student, and faculty well-being.
  3. Examine a shared vision of disability education, inclusion, and public policy in nursing education.

*If your submission is research, please include how your findings are applicable to nursing education.*
